A Withdrawl? I think not!
"President Bush will tell the nation this week he plans to reduce the American troop presence in Iraq by as many as 30,000 by next summer, but will condition those and further cuts on continued progress."
You can continue reading the story here
Seriously, does the President think we are stupid? In reality, that is not a withdrawl, the 30,000 troops he is talking about, are the 30,000 sent over as a part of the "surge." So how can them coming home when they are supposed to be, be considered a withdrawl? They are just not going to have replacements.
When the 30,000 come home next summer, like they are supposed to, the troop level will be back at 130,000, the same amount it was before the "surge." So how is this being considered a withdrawl? A withdrawl will happen when the levels drop below 130,000, and our guys start coming home for good.
Basically after the so called "withdrawl" we are in the same place as we were before and 130,000 soldiers have been away from their family and in harms way for WAY to long.
Ok, on to a different subject, before I go spaztastic on the last subject. Of course, I'm sure everyone knows what today is. 6 years ago, my oldest son was just 6 months old. We had just woken up that morning, and as I turned on the TV, the first thing I heard was "OMG OMG a second plane has just crashed into the second tower."
What a terrifying thing to wake up too! I will admit, I was scared, scared of what was going on, scared of what was going to happen, basically scared of the unknown. I sat there and just hugged my son and began praying, and thanking my lucky stars for everything I have in my life.
The boys and I, are getting ready to go the Freedom walk
I will post some pictures of their first day of school, and pictures from the walk later.
Now I would like to share with you a few of my favorite 9/11 tributes
